Your Chamonix Base
Our cozy mountain apartment is located just outside the central business district and a short walk to the main bus station in Chamonix Sud. This allows you the peace and tranquility of mountain life with the convenience of shops, restaurants, and transportation to and from Chamonix. Whether hiking the trails, exploring the slopes, or sticking to town for shopping, dining, or relaxing at a local spa, there are activities for everyone!
About Trois Balcons
We purchased our apartment in the summer of 2024. It hadn’t been updated since the building was built in the late 60’s but the views from each of the three balconies made us fall in love!
Due to French Government requirements, we needed to upgrade it’s energy efficiency along with our plan to modernize the space. To see what it looked like before and through the renovation, click below.
Exploring Beyond Chamonix
In addition to all that Chamonix has to offer, the entire Chamonix Valley is easy to access via train, bus, bike, and on foot. From Saint Gervais to Vallorcine, and beyond to Switzerland, Italy, and other sites in France, Chamonix is a great central point for your exploration.

Trois Balcons, located in the Chamonix Sud area, is a great location to explore the town and beyond. This map is credited to Chamonix.net, where you can obtain a lot of local information.

The app has bus and train schedules, lift opening and slope status.
There is also information about the weather and local activities. It’s a great way to learn more and be well-oriented to the valley.
